St. Vincent de Paul
One of the oldest charitable organizations in the world, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization w/over 700,000 men and women throughout the world who voluntarily join together to grow spiritually and offer person to person service to the needy and suffering throughout the world.
Here at Holy Family, our Vincentians witness God’s love through a variety of services and activities. In addition to the Food Pantry (open year round to hose in need), the ministry provides Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Christmas gifts for children, home visits, emergency financial aid, and referrals to local social services. The Vincentians also participate in the annual Walk for the Poor held in the fall.
The St. Vincent de Paul Ministry meets on the first Monday of each month, 7:00 PM in the Parish Life Getting Connected: The ministry is open to all adult parishioners at Holy Family.
There are also seasonal volunteer opportunities for our parish youth. The ministry will provide basic training once the appropriate diocesan training is complete. All talents are needed. If you are a trained social worker or have experience in financial counseling your expertise is desperately needed.
The Holy Family St. Vincent de Paul ministry sees the face of Jesus in everyone they serve. If God is calling you to serve, join these people of good will who work tirelessly to alleviate the hunger and suffering of those in our own community.
