Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) is everything that a parish community does to engage young people into the life and mission of the Church. It is a ministry for, by, with and to young people in Middle- and High-School, grades 6 through 12. Holy Family follows the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ guidelines for comprehensive youth and young adult ministries, including the document Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry.
The mission of Holy Family’s Catholic Youth Ministry is to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ engaged in the life and mission of the Church.
High School Life Teen
Life Teen is a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church. Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

CREDO
CREDO is our faith formation program for high school teens. Weekly sessions, centered on the 4 Pillars of our Catholic Faith; Prayer, Creed, Morality and Sacraments. Teens who wish to grow in their faith knowledge are invited to join us. Teens gather in the Upper Room Youth Center, 2nd floor of the Parish Life Center, on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm in Upper Room A.

Edge
Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe, fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.

PREP
Holy Family’s Parish Religious Education Program (aka PREP) replaces what many referred to as CCD. This program provides religious education for non-Holy Family School students in grades K through Grade 8.

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.

Calling Young People into the Life and Mission of the Church

Want To Get Involved?
Youth Ministry has an open door and young people are welcome to step into the ministry at any time. Friends, Catholic and non-Catholic, are welcome to join us. For return visits, a registration form will need to be completed.
We also seek faith-filled, committed, energetic young adults to help build the young church. If you’re interested in serving on the Youth Ministry Core Team, contact Ellona Delac at edelac@holyfamilyorlando.org.
Parents Matter… A Lot!
The National Study of Youth and Religion has shown that parents are the most important factor in the faith lives of adolescents. Additionally, the Catholic Church recognizes that parents are the first formators of their children’s faith. With that in mind, Holy Family youth ministry welcomes and encourages parental involvement. Parents who feel called to join in this ministry may call the youth office for more information.
