Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) to the Sick and Homebound, formerly known as Ministers to the Sick, bring the body of Christ through communion to patients in hospitals and nursing homes and to those who cannot leave their homes. Ministers receive the consecrated Host from the Priest during the Mass to take to those in need. This year-round ministry serves our community seven days a week and brings peace and comfort to those who cannot attend Church.
If you would like an EMHC to the Sick to visit you, please contact the Parish Office at 407-876-2211.
This ministry is open to all who feel they have a calling to this important work. Those wishing to serve are required to take the appropriate diocesan training and local training. Diocesan Fingerprinting and Safe Environment online tests are required. When signing up for fingerprinting, contact the parish office for the code.
Anointing of the Sick
The parish holds Anointing of the Sick during special Masses during Advent and Lent, with other dates possible. If you would like a private sacramental anointing of the sick, please contact the parish office.
