Come make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Sacred music has a profound impact on the celebration of our liturgies at Holy Family. To sing is to pray twice. Our talented and dedicated ministers of music offer their talents in joyous prayer and worship. These include, but are not limited to (in alpha order): Parish Choir, Chamber Choir, Family Choir, Life Teen Band, Resurrection Choir, Cantor Program, and Instrumentalists.

PARISH CHOIR

Parish Choir is comprised of volunteer members who give of their time and talents to glorify God through the ministry of music. This choir traditionally sings at the 8:45AM Mass on Sundays, Holy Days of obligation, and special events throughout the liturgical year. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:00PM-8:30PM. Membership in the ensemble is open to all interested vocalists beyond High School, and by audition for section/part placement at the discretion of the ensemble director. CHAMBER CHOIR

Chamber Choir is a small, auditioned chamber ensemble of advanced vocalists, which explores musical works of many genres within non-secular music. This choir traditionally sings at the 10:30AM Mass on Sundays, Holy Days of obligation, and special events throughout the liturgical year. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7:00PM-8:30PM. FAMILY CHOIR

Families who pray together, stay together! Introducing Family Choir: a multi-generational opportunity for adults, grandparents, parents and children (of at least elementary school age). The entire family of God is invited, hoping that all members of our church who like to sing, from elementary to seniors, will feel comfortable in taking part in this new multi-generational and musical endeavor.

Family Choir may also appeal to those who like to sing, however, can’t commit to weekly rehearsals. Family Choir rehearsals will take lace only once prior to the scheduled Sunday Mass. This would be on the preceding Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30PM. Family Choir will sing once a month (usually the 3rd Sunday of each month) at the Sunday 12:15PM Mass. LIFE TEEN BAND

Life Teen Band, for both vocalists and instrumentalists, prepares a variety of music from traditional to contemporary and leads the assembly at the 5:00PM Sunday Mass. Accompanied by piano and other instrumentalists, the ensemble explores music with a more contemporary style, while preserving the integrity and meaning of traditional music and scripture. Rehearsals are held weekly prior to Mass on Sunday. Membership in the ensemble is open to all interested vocalists and instrumentalists of at least High School age, and by individual audition. Anyone interested should see Megan Ramsey after the 5:00PM Mass.

RESURRECTION CHOIR

Resurrection Choir is comprised of volunteer men and women who desire to share their musical talent by providing beautiful music for families who are grieving the loss of a loved one during the funeral Mass. This ensemble rehearses on occasion, when needed, and most funeral Masses are scheduled on weekday mornings. Membership in the ensemble is open to all interested vocalists by audition for section/part placement at the discretion of the ensemble director. CANTOR PROGRAM

The Cantor Program is designed to help lead our congregation in prayer through song. This group meets at various times throughout the year to rehearse music for the upcoming liturgical season, and for collective reflection. Cantors follow a rotating schedule, which is carefully balanced to meet the needs for weekend Masses and special liturgical celebrations. INSTRUMENTALISTS

Instrumentalists add beauty and color to our music ministry. If you play an instrument, and are interested in joining liturgical celebrations, please contact the Music Office for an audition.
