Holy Family Spiritual Adoption
March 26th to December 25th
Who can deny the miracle of a newborn baby? There’s something about looking into the face of a tiny baby or feeling the grip of a tiny fist around your finger that reminds us what a miracle life is. It’s as if we are touching God himself through this newly created person. Sadly, not all newly conceived babies are allowed to be born. In fact, more than 4,000 babies lose their lives to abortion each day. With the assaults on human life increasing at an alarming rate, we are asking you to make a personal commitment to pray daily for one unborn baby who is in danger of being aborted.
Each of us will be asked to spiritually adopt one unknown baby for the next nine months. We will pray that this child will be carried to term and experience the fullness of life as God intended.
You may adopt a child individually or as a family. Please name the child for whom you will be praying, thereby giving the baby the humanity he or she deserves. Remember to not only pray for your unborn child but also for his or her mother and father.
Print the Spiritual Adoption Prayer & Commitment Card found below, fill it out, and place it somewhere significant enough to be seen daily (i.e. your refrigerator or bathroom mirror). Each week we will post in the bulletin development details of your baby.
The Spiritual Adoption Program will begin on the feast of the Annunciation, March 26th and end on Christmas Day, December 25th.
