The vigil, the Funeral mass and the Rite of Committal each have distinct purposes in the journey of death. When we experience the death of a loved one, we have Catholic rituals and prayers of our church to comfort us. This workshop will examine each of these ritual moments as well as other related issues such as cremation, funerals for baptized and unbaptized children, etc. Representatives from the neighboring funeral homes have been invited to introduce themselves and display their materials describing their services at the time of death.
