POSTPONED – Holy Family Dynamic Catholics Book Study

Holy Family Dynamic Catholics is hosting its next book study starting Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7-8:15pm. The class meets in PLC Room 4 (Guerin Room). Dcn. Richard Dodd will lead the study.

This study will feature the books “Imitation of Christ” by Thomas A Kempis and “Here and Now: Living in the Spirit” by Henri J.J. Nouwen.

Here and Now by Henri Nouwen

Not a faint memory, but happening right here and now, spiritual living takes place in the present; the Spirit meets us in the ordinary. These inspirational reflections by Henri Nouwen succeed in convincing us that God’s presence is reliable.

The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis

The text is divided into four books, which provide detailed spiritual instructions: “Helpful Counsels of the Spiritual Life”, “Directives for the Interior Life”, “On Interior Consolation” and “On the Blessed Sacrament”. The approach taken in the Imitation is characterized by its emphasis on the interior life and withdrawal from the world.

The book places a high level of emphasis on the devotion to the Eucharist as key element of spiritual life.

The study costs $22.95, which includes the books. Click here to order the books from the Holy Family Gift & Book Store.
