Ministry Formation Conference comes to Holy Family

Holy Family is one of the parishes hosting an in-person cohort of the Orlando Diocese’s Ministry Formation Conference on Feb. 5-6.

The purpose of the MFC is to form Catholics to witness, lead, and accompany others in the proclamation of the Gospel and the building of the kingdom. We recognize that our soul thirsts for the Lord. He alone can satisfy humanity’s desire for the infinite.

To register for the conference, click here. Cost is $15 per person. This site also has more information about the conference speakers and the most up-to-date list of parishes hosting in-person cohorts.

Seminarian collection Jan. 2-3

The special collection for this weekend – Jan. 2-3 – is for our Seminarians. We ask you for generosity, as this helps support the Orlando Diocese seminarians.

Preparing for the Sacrament of Holy Orders is a 7-9 year process. It entails intellectual, spiritual, pastoral and human formation, preparing men to answer the call they have received to serve God’s people in love and humility.

The full cost of a seminary tuition, insurance and books exceeds $400,000 during the formation period.

Your support ensures that money is never an obstacle between a man and this sacred calling. Please give generously to help these men who are willing to lay down their lives in service to our Lord’s Church.

You can give to this collection using the envelope in your packet. Or you can give online through our Online Giving portal (add “Seminarian Collection” in the Special Intention field).

Or for more information on ways to support our seminarians, please visit www.cfocf.org/seminarian.
